Since its inception, Heather Hopes Inc. has had the privilege of serving over 8,000 families in our community, making a significant impact on the lives of those in need. Through our initiatives, we have provided over 500 children with free shoes and ensured that more than 1,000 children received backpacks and school supplies to support their academic success. Additionally, we have engaged with over 150,000 individuals, including educating voters via phone calls and text messages, empowering them with knowledge of their rights and access to the polls. For the past 10 years, we have consistently provided valuable resources to ex-offenders, equipping them with essential job skills through our computer classes, which have played a crucial role in their successful reintegration into the workforce.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we have been able to provide critical services to 8,235 women, helping them take the steps toward a better future. These services include life skills classes that empower women to build new paths, transportation to drug and mental health treatment facilities, one-time utility assistance during crises, and backpacks filled with essentials for their children, including school supplies ranging from pencils to scientific calculators. Additionally, our donors have made it possible to offer field trips and activities for girls with incarcerated parents and their mentors, fostering meaningful connections and personal growth. • Special events for families of recently incarcerated individuals: We host annual events that provide support and resources to children and families of recently incarcerated individuals, ensuring they have access to much-needed essentials, including toys, school supplies, and clothing.
• Annual College Donation Program: Each year, we provide a one-time donation to a child of an incarcerated parent who is heading to college, offering the support they need for their educational journey.
• Field Trips: We organize enriching field trips for girls and their mentors, including college tours, museum visits, and conferences, designed to inspire and broaden horizons.
• Graduation Celebrations: Every 8 weeks, we celebrate the accomplishments of men and women who have successfully completed our free computer classes. These graduations provide an opportunity to honor their hard work and empower them with skills to improve their job prospects.
• Food Scarcity Program: During the summer months, we provide donations and educational resources to combat food scarcity, focusing on providing nutritious meals to children and seniors in need.
• Education and Advocacy: We advocate for the rights of families affected by incarceration, offering educational workshops and support on topics such as voter rights, access to public services, and overcoming barriers to employment.
