Mental health and substance abuse treatment center referrals and support.
Whenever needed, we refer and accompanying women to drug and mental health treatment centers, providing encouragement and assistance during the enrollment process and supporting them as they go through treatment. In cases where a woman desires help but encounters barriers to getting to a treatment facility, we will take her to the treatment center or arrange a ride for her and meet her at the facility.
Advocacy – healthcare and residential
We advocate for women. We help identify to access to much needed healthcare services as well as help them identify housing options during crisis or upon release from incarceration.
Mentorship is provided for women who receive any of the services that we offer. In addition, mentorship is also available for girls in grades 3-12 who have at least one parent in prison.
Each volunteer mentor must complete a volunteer application and is background checked, vetted and trained before they are allowed to begin mentoring. Mentorship is a nine month commitment
